Third of six siblings, I was born on an Island called Abaco, in The Bahamas on the 26 day of august 1970 and was given the name Sherelene Young.

During my high school years, my teachers recognized my artistic ability and I was awarded several certificates for Art.  I took delight in my paintings and this became my motivation to explore my creative side even further. 

In early 2002, I was introduced to poetry and started writing for the first time ever.  Exploring the poetry world was not only fulfilling but soothing.  I was amongst a diverse mix of talented poets, story tellers, drummers, dancers and singers, and because of all the creativity, we all came together and stage a performance called, A Boy with a Drum.  As a result, Our World Productions was formed.  A write-up of the play was published in the 2002 spring issue of Globe Magazine.  The event took place at Fort Charlotte and was well attended by locals and foreigners, who commented that the play under the stars was captivating. 

In the midst of all this creativity, I started designing and creating jewelry, and formed my company called EARTHTONS Creative Designs in 2003. I have created a plethora of pieces which have been sold extensively throughout The Bahamas.  This gift is truly a blessing from God, and I am happy to be able to honor him in this way.
